Newsletter Terms of use

Financial-Academy.gr started its activities in June of 2010 to provide training for professionals in the market from other reputable professionals involved either in the Greek market or in the foreign arena. The goal is to create the appropriate field of training for quick implementation and transfer of knowledge into practice.

By subscribing to our newsletter, you agree to receive periodic communications from Financial-Academy.gr and accept the following terms and conditions.

1. What You Are Subscribing To

When you subscribe to the Financial-Academy.gr newsletter, you will receive updates including but not limited to: upcoming conference announcements, event programme details, speaker profiles, early-bird registration opportunities, post-event summaries, and relevant industry news curated by our editorial team.

Newsletters are sent in both English and Greek. The language of each communication will correspond to the preference indicated at the time of subscription.

2. Frequency of Communication

We aim to communicate with subscribers on a regular but non-intrusive basis. Newsletter frequency varies depending on upcoming events, but typically does not exceed four communications per month. During periods of active conference programming, frequency may increase temporarily to ensure you do not miss important dates or announcements.

3. Your Personal Data

Financial-Academy.gr collects and processes your email address and, where provided, your name and professional title, for the sole purpose of sending you the newsletter to which you have subscribed. Your data is stored securely and is never sold, rented, or shared with third-party organisations for marketing purposes.

We may share anonymised, aggregated subscriber statistics with conference sponsors or partners to demonstrate reach. No personally identifiable information is included in such reports.

4. Legal Basis for Processing (GDPR)

In accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation (EU) 2016/679, the legal basis for processing your personal data for newsletter purposes is your explicit consent, given at the time of subscription. You may withdraw this consent at any time.

Financial-Academy.gr acts as the data controller for all personal data collected through this service. Data is stored on servers located within the European Economic Area (EEA).

5. How to Unsubscribe

You may unsubscribe from the Financial-Academy.gr newsletter at any time and at no cost. Each newsletter contains a clearly visible unsubscribe link at the bottom of the email. You may also unsubscribe by emailing ptzellos@derivatives.gr with the subject line "Unsubscribe".

Upon receipt of your request, we will remove your address from our mailing list within 5 business days. Please note that you may still receive communications that were already scheduled at the time your request was processed.

6. Your Rights Under GDPR

As a subscriber, you have the following rights regarding your personal data:

Right of access — You may request a copy of the data we hold about you.
Right to rectification — You may request correction of inaccurate data.
Right to erasure — You may request deletion of your data at any time.

7. Cookies & Tracking

8. Amendments

Financial-Academy.gr reserves the right to amend these terms at any time. Subscribers will be notified of material changes via email at least 14 days before changes take effect. Continued subscription after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
